A Bit About Me Outside of Research

While my research keeps me busy, when I’m not immersed in science, I enjoy a wide range of activities that help me stay active, creative, and connected to the world around me. I’m always on the move and love exploring new passions. Here’s a little glimpse into the hobbies and adventures that make life outside the lab just as exciting.

My Hobbies and Interests

When I'm not immersed in research, you'll often find me dancing, diving, practising martial arts, running, hiking, or strumming my guitar.

Underwater Adventures

When I’m not on land, you’ll find me diving—whether it’s freediving, scuba diving, or even spearfishing. I’ve always loved the water, and while skydiving is not on my list, I did try a homemade bungee jump once (spoiler: not recommended!).

A Passion for Music

Music is another important part of my life. I play guitar and am working on teaching myself how to sing (though progress is slow!). Music is a great way to unwind and recharge.

Staying Active

I’m a firm believer in staying active, and my hobbies reflect that. Whether it's hiking, running, or hitting the gym, I enjoy staying fit and exploring the outdoors whenever I get the chance.

Family and Faith

I’m also deeply connected to my faith and family. I enjoy attending church and spending time with my family (and two cats) back in New Zealand.
